On 09.09.2022, the NSS Unit of Barasat Government College observed International Literacy Day (08.09.2022). The Unit visited adopted Slum Saradapally, Barasat where the following programmes were carried on- 1. A rally was organized where the local children actively participated along with the NSS volunteers. 2. Interactive discussions with the local people were held on importance of Literacy in their life. 3. A workshop with the children was conducted where Dr. Paromita Bhattacharya acted as a Resource Person.
